SOLUTION CHARACTERISTICS

By collecting data using RFID technology, the tagged elements are followed in real-time along with all the hospital units; and thanks to a set of rules defined for each environment, the system is aware of their location, movement, and/or availability. Thanks to the identification of the routes, and applying the defined rules, the system can infer in which process the asset is, its location, availability, and possible drifts.

The solution can be integrated with other logistics control systems, for example, to notify actions (purchase, shipment to a given floor, transfer of equipment, etc.) as well as the exchange of information on inventory or on people associated with labels.

The solution infrastructure consists of:

• • Readers and RFID antennas connected to the network running continuously, or on-demand for specific functionalities, such as the control of clean hands.

  • Autonomous computers collect data from the readers and control their operation, as well as possible actuators connected to them.

  • A central system consolidates data, applies rules to determine asset status, and interacts with other systems for notifications and integrations.

  • A set of web applications that allows administering the system, querying and recording assets and rules, and associating people (staff or patients) with tags and actions.

COMPONENTS

The etaggate platform is made up of various components that are combined for each edition and installation.

• etaggate monitor is a component that connects to RFID readers in a facility and collects the readings of the RFID tags wherever the antennas are located. It is the software component of the data collection kits.

• etaggate core is the main asset and location management component. It is in charge of assets (characteristics, typology, movements and states) and locations (characteristics, typology, uses and relationships between locations)

• etaggate access control takes care of the definition of asset permissions to locations, notifications and reports.

• etaggate stock control is responsible for stock control, alarms, notifications and consumption control.

• etaggate traceability is responsible for the traceability of assets, people and consumables in operational and productive processes.

• etaggate lifecycle manages the different stages of the asset life cycle (acquisition, use, repair, retirement, etc.)

• etaggate process is responsible for defining productive and operational processes, their detection and notification and integration with other systems.

• etaggate composition is responsible for detecting production processes that transform some assets into other assets (manufacturing, assembly, dismantling, etc.)

• etaggate booking is responsible for managing reservations and asset allocations to people.

• etaggate supply is responsible for managing manufacturers and suppliers of assets.

• etaggate maintenance takes care of maintenance plans by asset type

• etaggate kpi is responsible for generating key indicator reports

• etaggate scheduler is responsible for defining and processing periodic tasks such as report generation, inventory validations, etc.

• etaggate mobile is an Android application that integrates with the cloud platform to perform field operations such as search and query of assets, check-ins, check-outs, inventories, shipments, etc.
